hey, i just got a capacitor and installed it, but it the lights still dim alot, especially since i just installed a hifonics bx2005d amp. i know the cap has to be charged, how exactly do you do this? my amp is a monoblock but it has 2 channels for the speaker wire!! this is the hifonics brutus bx2005d monoblock amp. i currently have 1 dvc 4ohm sub connected to it, to see a 2ohm load, but with each voice coil is going to each channel, so therefore wouldnt each channel see a 4ohm load? im really confused on this, ive owned a monoblock before, but itd had only 1 channel. and the way the channels are in order is weird, its like this: ++ - -. on most 2 channels it goes: + - + - , so i know theres something im missing here. i plan on throwing in 1 more sub, which i eventually plan to run these 2 subs in parallel for the amp to see a 1ohm load. if someone could explain all this that would be great. and one more thing, there is this wierd smell, from either that amp, or the capacitor in my car. it smells enough that my shirt even smells of it. i want to say it smells like a mixture of fire and bandaids, although nothing was burning. thanks alot.
