I looked at these but i have a 4 channel amp that puts its power out at 2 ohms. I could only feed them with around 80 watts. I’m really limited with my choices running this amp. I could get a tiny 2 channel for my tweeters and bridge the 4 channel and get 200 rms x 2 @ 4 ohms. That’s my next step if these 6x9s aren’t to my liking. I’m playing them free air a little now and they seem nice. Kinda surprised that a 6x9 with no tweeter can play up to 7000 hz but it does. These should keep me happy for a few months at least. Right now I’m running dual 4 ohm woofers in the 6x9 spot and they can’t even play up to 7000 hz. They drop off at around 5500 hz. Probably doesn’t matter really, since I will be crossed over at between 3000-4500.These play from 30htz-3500. Little pricey maybe.. But Carbon fiber cone.and should last

I’m using a Dayton audio silk dome tweeter with these. 2500-20,000 hz 40 watts rms. I have them crossed over at 4000 right now and they sound pretty nice. The Infinity set is a 2.5 ohm config. They can be had on Amazon for $140 (used like new). I don’t use the tweeter though as this set is meant for a 3 way as the tweeter has to be crossed at 4khz and up.
I tried the Dayton titanium dome tweeters first, and they were ok, but not in a car. In a home stereo where your further away from the tweeter they’d be fine. Just too harsh in vehicle IMO.I ended up using SB Acoustics and have them crossed at 2000ish. I love Dayton so I would mind trying some of their tweeters.
I can see that. I’m partial to silk dome in cars. What model are the Dayton’s?
Ordered on Thursday and already arrived. Impressive shipping speed from CDT. Less than 48 hours. Power handling is supposed to be 200 rms with a 100hz HPF. I’ll be crossing them over at around 70hz-4000hz I’m thinking,
