The best advice has been given. Make him realize that you can burn up the car with matches too, and that it's installer error, and not the fact that the stereo exists that causes fires.

Get the wiring so clean and safe that every Best Buy installer in the state would claim something is wrong with it (//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif) and you should never have to worry about anything like that, ever.

indeed, there is really nothing he can say no to besides the spare tire. even that shouldn't be a huge deal cause i've been carrying around a half sheet of mdf in my back seat for 2 weeks and he hasn't said anything about it, so why can't i put a tire in there?

honestly, tell him that if you use a smartharness, its really the easyiest (sp on that lol?) thing evarrrr! theres no wiring, just a few plugs that adapt to the new radio.. do you think they would sell them to EVERY customer at best buy and circuit city that buys a new stereo if they didnt work?
