Untill you purchase your own car, live by their rules.

yeah i fully understand that, but allowing me to spend my cash on it then changing your mind, having me write a paper on it then not even reading it and stating no for many outlandish reasons is just plain illogical.

let him talk to brian ask what ever is done to the car can it be put back to original easily? dont get too gung ho maybe change the sub/amp make it at least enjoyable. your dad must like music to otherwise he wouldnt let you do what you do just be smart about it and dont act irresponsible in showing what you want and if you do get it still be responsible and listen to your folks

Yes and I can see where it pisses you off. But they are your parents. No matter how illogical or retarded their decisions you kind of are stuck with it. Just add it to the already huge list of illogical decisions made by your parents. Then in 10 years explain to them why you are in that mental institution, and talk to an invisible friend named Jerry. Who you are growing attracted to.

^^ this man has logic! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

audiolife, my dad still hasn't seen the DD. i've been waiting 3 yrs to get a sub and i think that once he sees it and about how important it is to me, maybe, just MAYBE we might go somewhere. but as of right now, only god knows.

Sorry, I just noticed the date on the thread after I posted.

Just like "audiolife", I would also recommend anyone needing work done in the Indianapolis area to talk to brian at Soundsational. Their number is 317-875-8863 (I have the card in my wallet). I have been dealing with them for the past year or so, and he is one of the most knowlegable car audio guys that I have met. I just puchased an ARC Audio and Focal system from soundsational that is by far the best audio system that I have ever heard. These guys do great work and their prices are really good to.

your pops is right, in a way.

Nothing is more reliable than your stock deck and stock speakers. (unless you have a german car). If you leave the stock speakers, you have a 0% chance of ruining door panels, whereas if you replace speakers, you DO have some risk of breaking interior pieces. I personally broke one of the stock tweeter covers and once window up/down switch when I did my install.

But aftermarket WILL sound better... so whats more important to you guys?
