Today, I bought a amp install wiring kit, set everything up, tried to start the sucker up and no clicks no nothing completely dead (except the door lights they turn off after the ac switch is on, and turn back on when clicked back). Called AAA stepmoms idea i knew it needed a jump, and car's on. Waited 20 minutes to let battery reset nada nothing no clicks nothin. the lead power cable to the amp was not connected. Checked fuses nothing. can't figure this out. Can the battery be really dead worked perfectly fine before about 2 hours before. Please help in distress. Thanks gang.

If you installed a cap with the wiring (I know some kits come with one) it may have killed your battery while charging up. I've heard some stories about this before. Yet another reason to dislike caps.

you have gas?

That's like when you call for some computer hardware support and they ask if it's plugged in...lol. I pity a fool who runs out of gas.

you have to ask..

"ok sir, are the keys in the ignition while attempting to turn it on"

Haha. I've got the dumbass story of the week here. I sometimes do dealer trades for a dealership in my town. I took a Maxima all the way out to North Aurora. I get to the dealership and find out I'm taking a Frontier back. I get all the paperwork, check out the truck for any damage and get in. I go to start it and nothing. The lights work, and everything else seems okay. I figure that the battery has enough power to turn everything on but not enough to crank the engine over. I go inside and ask the guy for a jump. He brings the battery charger out to the truck, I pop the hood and he hooks it up and cranks it to 70 amps. I go in the truck and turn the key again. Nothing. We wait about a minute, I get back in the truck and tell the guy to forget it. Little did I know at first it was a stick. Wow, did I feel like a moron. I wasn't pushing the clutch because I didn't know it was a stick. This I feel fits along the lines of forgetting to fill up with gas. I pity a fool who doesn't know what the f*ck he's driving as well.

lmao.. what did you think that thing was for?

It's not that I didn't know what it was for, I didn't even see it. The shifter on those is a little out of place so it's not really the first thing I look at. I'm also pretty short so I sit close. The steering wheel usually blocks my vision of the pedals so I didn't see the clutch either. I didn't look down before I adjusted the seat and the mirrors.

Electrical works, i even turned on the radio after running the engine for those 20 minutes and i played about 30 seconds of a song, all the ac lights go on, windows, door locks. everything works except the **** car wont start, I'm going to clean the connections tomorrow and also recharge the battery.

It's weird because sometimes it clicks really fast but lightly when i try to turn the engine over seems almost like there's a lose connection or something, i think it's the battery.
