Okay I have received a Stinger battery distribution cap it has 3 4 gauge outputs and a 0 gauge output. My plan was or is to take the two car power wires which are both 8 gauge wires and twist them together and put them into a slot in the block and put my power wire for the amp into the block as well. Is this a wise idea or should I get the block that has 8 gauge outputs. OR just leave it without a block and just run my wire via a O ring connector going to the factory battery terminal.

 
Same as you read it the cars stock power wires are two 8 gauge wires that go to the batteries power ring and was wondering if i can twist them together and stick them into a 4 gauge slot.

 
NO I want to use a stinger cap that goes onto the top of the battery post in place of the factory O ring. and plug the two 8 gauge wires into one 4 gauge slot and my power wire which is 4 gauge into another slot of the stinger cap.

 
I'd try with each 8g in it's own to see if it's going to hold. If it will hold it will look better that way. If not then the other way will be just fine again if it's going to fit snuggly and not have to worry about it coming out.

You can probably do it. Although you will have to strip back some of the wire strands for it to fit. (8 gauge doubled up is thicker than 4 AWG, at least all the 8AWG I've worked with.)

It's gunna look ugly. No matter what you do. The plain fact is that it'll look ugly.

My suggestion is for you to upgrade to 4-AWG. For aesthetics and power consumption.
