mounting amp(s) to box?

I hear from some that this is a great idea to do, and others.. not such a good idea. what is everyone's opinion on this? reason I am asking is I have a small trunk. I am about to get a bigger amp to run these subs I am about to buy and I am thinking of running another battery in the trunk... but I will need the space. thanks!

high quality amps never have problems when mounted to boxes, cheap ones on the other hand....i wouldn't know about

I have my amp mounted to my box and I have never had an issue.
