I am trying to hook my car subwoofer up to my computer. After i searched it seems that the best way to do it is with a plate amp. To do this i would rca to 1/8' or something, what exactly are these. Is all that im going to need the subs wired to the plate amp and the plate amp rcas to the computer? Also how would a dual 2 ohm alpine 300w rms type r wired at 4 ohms with only 125w sound?

I have looked at the site but i was just wondering if all i needed was the amp, sub and the wires to hook it up to my computer and what exactly the wires are.

Why not just snag a HT subwoofer?

Even if you get it running ok, it's still going to look rigged.
