Car starts then dies...New Install

Car: 86 Caddy Fleetwood

Alarm: Valet Model 552T

Personally I think its the starter but I did a new system install on my car. The car was working fine before I did the install but I think the alarm is cutting off fuel to the engine. there is no fuel cut-off relay, it coulda been A starter kill but it wouldnt crank at all......

Did you install a new HU?

Read the manual.

Check the power and ground cables on the battery.

The 552T isn't an alarm, it's just a remote start and keyless entry system.

No new HU, Checked battery cables but if that was the problem wouldnt the car just stay off ? The 552T has remote start, the remote start used to work but now when I hit the switch for it, it doesnt do anything.



Ok this car was running just fine before I pulled it in to the garage to put a new audio system in it, so anyway I finshing hooking up everything and then I go to start the car it turns over and immeditaly dies. It has fuel and I didnt mess with anything under the dash, I just rand the cable and thats it. I dont know exactly what it could be that is causing this either....

Ive also noticed that my turn signals dont work anymore and my sentnal switch will come on every once in a while...The hood light seemes like it come on only when the key is turned getting ready to start the car...

I did have a keyless entry system on it that is acting weird, the remote start doesnt work anymore but it did before I started in stalling everything..

Does anyone know what this might be ? Fuse ? Crossed Wire ? Im lost....
