i ordered this cheap radio off amazon but it seems like its not getting power or broken my question is, is there a way to test it an see if its defected.. iv tried in the car dont work.. also im sure its hooked up right

You could try hooking the radio up directly to the battery, just to confirm there is no problems in-between. Just firmly touching the power and ground to the battery will work(twist the 2 power wires together). Check for a fuse on the back of the radio?
