car painted cheap where?

I have an 01 hyundai tiburon. The car is silver. I want it painted black. Where would be the cheapest place to get this done? I am located in NJ. Just curious if any of you have some ideas.

But it will be cheap ..

First time you go thru a car wash your car will magically change colors again ..

not to mention they wont fully change the color of your car,

your jambs , engine bay, interior areas, trunk will still all be the original color ..

maaco = cheap, but cheap also means a cheap job. you get what you pay for. nobody will do a "great" job for a "cheap" price

maaco does no prep work, you pull in ,and they spray it. Don't do jambs or anything. Ive seen good maaco jobs because people preped it well. If you don't prep it at all then it may wash right off at the carwash

Go find articles in car magazines. There are things you can do to make cheap paint jobs like maaco come out decent.

Like do all the prep yourself. Sanding, making sure everything panel is straight. Get rid of all rust. Degrease or completely clean all metal so there is no rust or residue.

OPT FOR A BASE + CLEAR COAT so when it's done and dry you can:

1.) Carefully Wet color sand the clear coat with a really high grit.

2.) Then hit with polish with a buffer

3.) Then hand glaze with a buffer

4.) Wax to protect.

Maaco CAN do decent work. Not sure why you guys think they don't do jambs, engine bay, prep work, etc. They do in fact do all that, it just costs extra. I had them prep my car for paint and they sanded it all the way down the to metal. I've seen Maaco do some very good work on some expensive vehicles.

But they do cheap work as well.

Lets say your car is silver, but has some scratches and stuff and needs to be painted. Does it need to be sanded and all if you are just repaining it silver?
