Car Insurnace ticketing question...

I got ticketed for no insurance in Mississippi...so then I got insurance with geico for 6 months. Paid the first month, then went to the court clerk and paid $240 (reduced for getting insurance.) Then, I got home, called the geico and canceled the insurance. She (the geico lady) said something about they could, maybe, suspend my license or take my plates or something like that? Is that true, in Mississippi...or what? Or should I be ok?

Why are you being a dumbass and driving with no insurance?
Let me explain, kind sir.

Because the state is a money hungry piece of shit. That's why. Yes:

I made my policy with full intent to pay it. I thought "hey if I get insurance, and tell them I got it, show proof I got it; they should drop the fine. Thats my logic. Whats the purpose of the fine? (WHAT SHOULD IT BE) : To get you to have insurance. Well, I would have insurance right now if they didnt take all my money to pay the ticket. So, thanks the the court taking my money, I don't have insurance. If they want me to have insurance, they shouldn't have made me give them all of my money. AND don't say "well u should have had insurance in the first place." Because, No sir. I shouldnt have. I wasn't operating the vehicle, it was on the side of the road for sale. Why would I have liability insurance on it? I'm not driving in it; so I can't possibly be liable for any damages while using it. So, logically I didn't have insurance on it. STILL got a ticket (when someone hit my car while it was parked, uninsured, forsale), STILL paid it, Got insurance on my new vehicle (as I planned to from the start), but...Thanks to them being money hungry illogical pricks, I had to cancel my policy.

Thats why.

Actually, if someone wrecks into ur "parked" car.. and the police get involved and they find out there wasn't no insurance on it.. u would still would of got in trouble lol...

Thats what happend. Which is BS. Because the state requires LIABILITY insurance only. So, if you aren't operating the vehicle, why should you have to have LIABILITY (please look up the definition to this word) insurance? Logically, you shouldn't because you can't possibly be liable for damages while NOT operating the vehicle. Therefore, They should not require you to have Liability Insurance on a car that is not being operated.

i have a friend that gets insurance once a year...he always pays the first month to get the card which is good for a year......then never pays another payment till its time for a new card //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

That USED to work. Now the insurance reports electronically to the state. A cop (at least in KY) can run your plates and know who you are insured through, and if its current or not.

I came here to say that. In KY they asked for proof of insurance up until the beginning of this year, now they just ask for your license. In a lot of states it isn't setup that way, Kentucky is just that awesome.
