Car drives...but won't start? WTF?

FINALLY finished putting in the transmission back in my Accord, after doing the clutch.

The ONLY electrical connections we unhooked were the following;

-Vehicle Speed Sensor

-Engine to chassis ground

-Battery to chassis ground

-o2 Sensor

That's it. So we finished putting the car back together, turned the key and nothing happened, everything was there...but...well, the car didn't start. No clicking noise from the starter or solenoid was present..

So, my dad said lets push start the car. Fair enough.

So he pushes me down the driveway, pop the clutch and she starts right up. I drive it around the block, everything works but the speedometer, and the check engine light is on too. RPM gauge works also

So I'm driving around the block, all is fine, car runs/drives/shifts beautifully (thank god), but she just won't start.

So I pull back in the driveway, talk to my dad for 10 seconds while the car is still running...and the RPM needle drops to zero...and when I rev the engine, it sits at zero.

Note: The battery sat for 4 days, is old, and (no way of checking) but I'm pretty sure my voltage is low because the windows go up stupid slow.

Any ideas here people?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

ITs possible. Trace to see if there is an ignition lead going to it. also have you made sure there is power at the starter? maybe you bumped it on the flywheel or something.
I have a DMM laying around here somewhere...but I can't figure out how to use it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

You may have missed a plug on the transmission. If the speedo doesnt work, and I believe they are wire feed, not cable, then that may explain it. Check for any unplugged wires. And can you get the code off the engine, like the error code?

Try didconnecting the bat for 2-3 minutes to clear the code and see if it comes back and if the tach works for a short time again.

Is the little spade plug connected on the starter? If it gets pulled off during install/removal it usually gets pulled at an angle cuz its down low. Doesn't take much to loosen it to where it wont stay on anymore.

Wouldn't really explain the other issue though I guess. Just thought I would mention it.

Something isn't plugged in. When we did my clutch we had to unplug all sorts of stuff. I had this same car basically.

Also, I wouldn't be popping the clutch very much on a new clutch...
