hay to all of you that WERE plannin on goin to car wars then I just talked to them and they don't think that they will be doing it now it is going to be scaled back to a test and tune day at there shop. I think that we need to start harrassin them to let them know that there's an intrest for car wars not a test and tune cause I am not driveing 2.5hrs to have a shop that doesn't like me cause for the past 2 years I have beat their score by 2db or more and have their shop guy come and ask me for suggestions just to turn around and bad mouth me. Put me in a class by myself so they can win a class (cause JL is a top choice for SPL). ok sorry for my tangent but really this is the only thing we have that's big in ut. as far as car audio and to have it taken away pisses me off

Maybe I'll run by and ask them about it. Their new shop is close to my house.

Test and tune? WTF does that mean? I doubt they even have an oscilloscope... So how exactly are they going to tune anything?

I'm not sure how large the show was last year, but they don't necessarily have to book such a gargantuan venue like USANA... I mean, Granger park would be golden. Woodscross high school would probably be cool with them throwing something in their parking lot. The car club I'm in had a car show out there a few years ago.

Sh*t. They could just throw a "Car Wars" at their shop.

Lynn's Audio & Video in logan is wanting to have a db drag show around July.

Also Audio Specialists in SLC is wants to get a Usac show there.

You guys are awesome!!! I'm not a huge fan of USAC events (I'm not a fan of metering in the kick, but whatever), but I'm down for whatever. I should've metered the kick when I was in Twin Falls...

lynns in logan needs to do a show for sure hell if the car isn't workin i'll walk! and maybe even push it to the show if i can get a lil help it's only like 5 miles from the house.

ok here is the reson behind car concepts not doing car wars this year,

the last two years in the amount they have spent in advertiseing for car wars there has been no turn around, as in people comeing into the store to buy stuff, after they do all this advertiseing to promote car audio shops..

cliff's, Car Concepts is money hungrey and is more worried about that then supporting car audio in general.

^^Definitely makes sense.

I think there's corners that could be cut, like extensive advertising and huuuuuge venues, to save an event like Car Wars.

me too but i still would like to attend some comps this year at least..

i have a expensive list that i am slowly checking off.

and i havent even got in to amps, speakers, decks, or subs yet..

A couple guy's that work there though are awsome and have helped me quite a bit through the years. Funny, because they both use to work at sound wearhouse in Orem.
