ok.. well im sure alot of people will say alternator but I really don't think so.

Every few times i get out of my car, it dies. Completely.

One morning last week I woke up early on accident for work. Car had been sitting still for 8+ hours and started fine. I turned around and went home (5 min drive maybe), got out. Got back in 15 minutes later and the car was dead.

Car sits for long time.. doesn't die. Car sits for a small amount of time stopping at gas station or something = dies.

wtf. I have a volt meter and my voltage is always 14+ usually 14.4 while driving so my alts gotta be fine?

I have disconnected ALL aftermarket equipment in the car and still yields the same thing.

bad battery? bad alt? starter?

when this happens, I have 0 electricty, i can't even use my keypad.

ALSO, one day, I slammed my door real hard when this happened cause i was super pissed, and my electricity all came back on and the car started (this method doesn't always work)

Try pulling your terminals at the battery and check the ground terminal for corrosion or cracks. I just went through this on one of my vehicles turns out terminal was cracked making a bad ground.I

bad battery it sounds like tbh or a loose wire somewhere.
most likely what i'm leaning towards. I got everything super tight around the battery posts today. we shall see.

this battery is new from oriellys as of this summer so it better not be the battery or im gonna be pissed

You mean the negative battery post? Or the ring terminal where the ground is at

Check your Distributor Me and this guy just fixed one of his samurais that was doing the same thing.

Its not the alt, its not the water level in the batt, its not a short. None of those would cause the car to sometimes die after a short period, but not after a long one. Its a bad connection, probably right at the batt since it affects everything electrical on the vehicle. Corrosion is a common culprit for this type of thing, either at the batt terminals, or in a cable itself.
