Im working stupid hours right now and I find myself sitting here watching Truck U and all the others like it.... If people will watch this they will watch a show about audio.

No bias stuff; feild test cable, batteries, alternators, sound equipment.. Do installs for SPL, show car, and SQ rigs. Show people clamp test, box design, tuning, figuring out your car and placement, DIY component sets, imaging. Show how the different organizations work. Have big name guest come on.

Vids are all over YouTube but we all know they don't reach enough people..

I would watch it as long as its not all about product placement.

In order to be funded, it would quickly become about product placement.

This was pushed for in the past as well, but I just don't see enough people "wanting" to watch it really. We all know how shows with low ratings work out..

I would watch it but if you ever watch the outdoor channel, all those shows are pretty much sponsored by retail companies to just promote the hell out of their product because they have the funding to support the funds needed to have a show. I'm pretty sure there is not a high enough demand/want for a tv network to have a channel all about audio. so we are stuck watching street customs and pimp my ride //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

There would have to be an independent sponsor, an audio enthusiast. Doesn't Velocity sponsor some shows on their own though?

Those shows are driven by the sponsors actually. All though they only donate product and such they are still heavily based on that.

Like I said, there is no way it will happen for an audio show. Even if you combine home/mobile/theater/pro into one it just wouldn't have the ratings required to move forward.

The only way I can see this working is if they integrated it with the SPEED channel and had just a hand full of audio shows mixed in with all around car stuff too
Thats pretty much what speed has done with the other shows. You start watching one and never get around to changing the channel. Showtime had a great youtube channel for a while but it was all about T3.

It's to bad too man, a lot of DIY shows would be great for like big 3 upgrade, proper voltages, building boxes, box design, sub construction, etc...

Right now the best thing we have is

. It's not got any corporate sponsors but as it's just one shop you're not going to see a huge assortment of brands. I don't think we'll ever see exactly what was requested in this thread. Making really good shows about car audio is a very rare thing. I got into Amplified right around the 2nd or 3rd episode and they're on season 3 now. There's plenty to catch up on if you've never seen the show.
