Which BXi was it a 1206,1606, or 2006?

Sorry, but 2 L7 12's ARE child's play...but better than Xplod's and crap.
while the L7's may be "child's play", believe it or not, some people don't have $300 to throw at a massive SQL driver.
For ~$150, subs like L7's and Type-arghs get decently loud and sound nice.
L7's don't sound nice, but I do understand the situation completely. I had a 15" L7, and while it did good for the price, it sounded like ***.
I could set off car alarms goin 35mph though, so I was happy for the time being.

Right. I know that its wrong, but you can kind of see why a shop could be upset. We would have to sell that package for around 1200 to make our margin, and that is below retail. It hurts when people come in to a shop somtimes to audition stuff then leave and come back with items bought off ebay. And then people ***** about shops that dont stock and disply high-end equipment. People will buy lowend stuff because the price diffrence is not so bad from the shop to ebay, but high dollar stuff is diffrent. We sell kicker comps all day, but we only turn about 4 L7s a year. When we have to sell a 12L7 for 300 but you can purchase one off ebay for 200, it just doent work. And by the way 200 is pretty close to dealer cost. How does a authorized dealer compete?

People need to have more patience. I have an 18" BTL just sitting in my closet :-( Oh well. I'd rather do things right than rush them and turn out like your friend.
you and me both. got a custom 15 tc9 from david at RE and its been sitting for a while haha. its all good though, be beatin by the new year.

We have a shop here on the naval base and I heard from my dads buddy they are good, had them install my h/u and amp when I was a nub and well lets just say 20 feet of 8 gauge is not enough power for a hifonics bx1000d. The Installer told me after i came back mad that he thought the amp was over rated and then i told him that it might be a little but 20 feet of 8 gauge might be good for 500 watts. Oh and he wired it to my fuse box and i was wondering why my lights stopped working one night while i was rolling. (retards)

yeaaa got it all hooked up *correctly* today. It knocks like the police on a crack heads front door! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Thats the nature of the business now-a-days. People do that quite a bit when they step into http://www.innovativerides.com for work. I just find it hilarious when the products they want installed are defective in one way or another. It isn't my fault your stuff is damaged. There is a reason why you pay the extra money for authorized equipment from a local retailer. Its called peace of mind. Some people just don't value that, and in the end life sucks for them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

If you are a reputable shop that takes care of thier customers then all you can do is shrug your shoulders and press on. The smart ones will know who to support, and boycott the other 95% of the crap shops in thier local town.

TRUE. but why are they always an ***...???
Its a shame that there are so many car audio shops in every town that act like that. If I were in most of your shoes I'd go DIY to avoid the BS. I'm lucky I have a Moe Lester to work on my chit //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so lame theyd purposefully tune it shitty since it wasnt thier equpiment......so shaddy

something reminds me of he swapshop 18 year old worker that told me his audiobahn flame q would be louder than some offbrand "MT"...........silly fockers....

I see this ALOT here in Kentucky //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif Seems to go with military towns hand and hand also its seems.
I second that about the military towns. You can't get any service around me, and when you do, they think you're stupid and try to sell you overpriced garbage. One of the shops near me, you're lucky if the guy even gets off his *** to see if you need any help. It's ridiculous. And yet, these same store owners are the first ones to ***** about people buying stuff off the net. If you had good customer service, and actually cared about your customers, maybe you would sell more stuff. The shops back in CT where I grew up were all about the customer service and one in particular, wouldn't let you buy something until the salesman and installer thoroughly went over every feature with you. Hell, that shop has even put amps in my car just so I could see how they would perform. Subs too. Now that's customer service. Not to mention they had a soundproof home theater room with leather couches to relax on while you were waiting for your ride. And the installers were second to none. Back in the day when I had a pair of amps put in, they ran all the wires perfectly, and did the big 3, at no extra charge. When I saw that, I asked how much more it was and the guy said "No extra charge, with those two amps it's standard on the install"!!! No other shop that I know of would do a big 3 just because they knew it was gonna be needed, not unless you asked for it, and paid for it.

Yeah I had the same thing happen with me not too long ago. Kinda sad really as I used to be really good friends with a local car stereo shop that went down under due to him being stupid. But the installs he did on my ride were something out of this world and I never had a problem. Well the last car I did myself and came out great, but now my back is fuxored and I can barely stand for 15 mins at a time now. So I had this one local shop do my latest install and it looked good, but sounded like total garbage. I have some pretty good shit as well. I asked them why does it sound like this and why didnt you guys properly tune it? Oh well we dont do that, we leave it up to the customer.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif I mean I could see if you said we wanted to wait for you and see what you thought. So I get it and the sub sounds like junk! Then to top it off my passenger side window wouldnt go all the way down. The crossover was blocking it!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif I mean I could do a better job than this, but my back! So I took out the brand new sub and put in my old alpine sub which was recieving half the watts and it actually sounded better. So it couldnt be the box. So I go back and ask them did you guys do something to the sub? Seemed good when it was shipped to me from Fi. Also Fi hasnt had any problems at the time with the Q's. So he goes, well it probably sounds like that because it is an internet brand.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I am like dude, this sub will perform better than like 95% of your shit.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif So I kept playing around with the sub and took the foam in I had done out, which is another story. My 5 year old cuz could have done a better job. I mean my lci plate was rattling like crazy still. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif Then I faced the sub back and that sounded a lot better, but something is really wrong with the sub. I think they did something to it, but everything was wired right and reading the right ohm. All I know is I will do my own shit from now on, I dont care if my back breaks, I refuse to support any local shops around here anymore!

Just my little rant on local shops. Some are good and some purely ****!
