**** CAR AUDIO SHOP!!! Tryin to rip my buddy off!!!

Why would they want to even do this, it doesn't make sense. You already bought your stuff, its not like they're gonna convince you to buy something.

All they've done is helped create an image that their shop sucks for installs. Why would anyone go there?

DIY ftw!

Well they also mounted the Amp rite on the sub box. Should i take it off? or will it make a diff? Wut do u guys think about that brutus on thos subs? Good choice?

L7's don't sound nice, but I do understand the situation completely. I had a 15" L7, and while it did good for the price, it sounded like ***.
.

You are aware that there are world champion sq installs that used them right ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Without the local shops , car audio would have died a long time ago my brothers //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Cant argue with that, its just that 99% of them arnt like your place. I wish I could find a place local like that. Id love to do all the work myself, I just dont have the time, at all.

The last time I went to a local shop (what that reputable...so ive heard anyway) I told them they can hold onto the car for 12 days. Just take your time, do it right ect...

It looks good, but I got the car back with a load of amature mistakes.

Sound deadener applyed without cleaning the surface area (now its falling off) the sound deadener spray, all over the window regulators (which should have been taped off) now the window acts weird at the bottom. Fiberglass that wasnt trimmed correctly (sub is mounted inverted) so the edges were touching the surround. Ground wires over 4 ft long, enclosed amp rack, without fans. Gee I wonder why the amps get so hot.

Stupid mistakes like this & its from someone who has 15yrs + experience.

Couldn't tell ya man . When i was doing the car audio thing for a living . I made more money installing stuff people brought to me , than installing stuff we sold. I built many an enclosure for pyramid , pyle , crunch ............. just because what they brought me was sub par , didn't mean I was going to give them a sub par enclosure or installation //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Exactly & I wouldnt expect anything less.

(95% of the stuff installed I supplied btw)

Why most shops cant figure that out I just dont understand. I could have sent 20+ referals by now & had it been done right the 1st time I gladly would have.

As you have in your sig, the install is the major part of how a setup will turn out. Lost of equipment will bandaid stupid things, but cutting corners sure as hell does not pay off. Im going to stop by there on monday & straighten things out. No im not going to be the disgruntled customer, im just going to make sure they understand a few things. Ill see how that turns out next week.

I see this ALOT here in Kentucky //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif Seems to go with military towns hand and hand also its seems.

People need to have more patience. I have an 18" BTL just sitting in my closet :-( Oh well. I'd rather do things right than rush them and turn out like your friend.

x2 its really worth it to take it slow, i been collectin equip. for 2.5 months now and i'm a few days away from gettin it all in finally, better be worth it/ get loud tho or i'm gonna be sooooo shittty lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif
