now that is something worth getting a video camera for. I wanna see the looks on their faces. The highest end audiobahns may get louder but they sound like giant farts. The xxx on the other hand will have superior sound quality. Something like the immortal may give it a run for its money. Not that i am sticking up for audiobahn or anything.

I once encounted a situation like this...

I was about to get my license and I already picked up a pair of JL's...

so my friend went to get some crunch subs and he said his is louder than mine..

lol, i didn't want to argue, because he spent the same amount of money as i did (300)..and

I told him his was louder than mine..

I didn't want to be a f-u-ck-ed up friend and be like "man your subs sucks fool" lol...

his subs are louder but I also took some things into consideration, he has a hatchback, which has no trunk so the subs will obviously sound louder, i have a camry and i have to pull my seats down in order for it to be louder.

His subs have a good punch but they can't hit lows for $hit and it sounds like crap and my wires are so old school..

well thats my story lol

Yea i know. In no way am i supporting audiobahn and don't get me wrong the xxx is loud but it is more of an sq oreinted sub. There are some loud audiobungs out there.

Anyone ever seen those commercials, "This weekend, at the EXPO CENTER, LOW-PRICED ALPINE, PIONEER, ROCKFORD FOSGATE, COMPUTERS, PS2 GAMES.." etc.

Basically, it was all trash.. but I figured I'd check it out. I go to the audio section, they had an Alpine 9831 for 489 bucks.. the best 2500W amp was the Boss RT2500 which they were selling for 289 and a Kicker KX450.2 for 389. When I was like, "Er, is that the best 2500W amp you have?" The guy's like, "Boss is a great company, and yea that's all we have".. they also had a double-priced Legacy 4ch amp.

Lessons learned: don't ever spend 7 bucks to get into a thrist store that attempts to extort you. Do your own research before you buy *ANYTHING.*

The latter doesn't really apply to anyone here, because that's probably why they came here in the first place.. like me!

We got posers up here, they got walmart subs or sony (both ****). we call them the trunk rattlers it sound like tin cans are in their trunks and they think that is cool

What I hate are Elite Car Audio Nazis, who they they know everything and they set some kind of standard for the world....

Maybe that person can't afford a Hi end system or really, just doesn't know that there are better products out there...

If they buy it and are happy with it, thats what Important...

I almost wish I was more ignorant on Car Audio and could be happier with a 1000-1500 system.... Fact is I have way over that in just wiring and connectors and sparts laying aroud my house...

And because this shit is so expensive, Its taking me forever to finish my system... If I ever do after spending all that money on it, I prolly won't be satisfied or only for a few months, then I'll want bigger better... It never ends...

98 percent of the people I hang out with know less about car audio than I do and have compo nets that I would not have bought even at steep discout, but I would not call them posers....

I'm sure I'll get flamed for my opinion, but you guys were allowed to post yours, so I'm postin mine...

lol naw it's that 300 dollar one with the white cone, we are talkin about a single 12" setup in their port plug box, if they had immortals i wouldn't of said anything, lol, i just mentioned i got a reall good sq/spl sub for 400 and he got all aggressive and said ahh naw man u need this audiobahn sub here, it will pound harder than the xxx......

That's not what this is about. Somebody could have a W7 and be a poser, in my book. Quite a few of them out there.

What the issue here is someone that buys something, doesn't know jack shit about installing it or has the local BB/CC install it, turns all the knobs to the right, etc...and bumps all over town thinking that they're God's gift to car audio. When describing their system, their sentences are puncuatated with phrases like "I gots me a 1000 watt bass" and "Yo this shiznit bumps so **** hard yo". The value of the system has nothing to do with it. If you have a very good sounding system using inexpensive components, that's something that takes skill, and is something I respect.

^x2 what jack frost said, i give respect to other people, i turn my volume down when i'm at stop lights and stuff, i hate those **** kids who pull up, look at you, and turn the volume knob up really loud, and they have no deadining and sounds like poo poo....... their is a kid in my neighborhood who gets really jealous of my setup, one nite at 1am he pulled up on my drive way and blasted away......... so the next nite i egged his car......... lol

egging someoes car is a low blow. that is a cheap shot. all it says is that you aren't man enough to mess with the guy himself so you have to mess with his stuff. but of course that is just what i think.

very well said. I don't have a problem with the people that buy a cheap system. It is the people that buy a cheap system and think that they can get a dg drag record with it. i know a kid that has 2 bolt audio 10" and it sounds half way decent but he does not brag about it or talk shit about others systems. So i have alot of respect for the kid even though it is not the loudest setup in the world. It is the attitude of these people that drive me crazy. Not really the type of equipment they have.

lol try working at best buy and not be a poser. thing you guys forget is if you are working for a company you are trying to SELL THEIR STUFF. to the company best is best profit margin. sales people get asked "what is the best..." 50 times a day if everytime you opened your mouth you mentioned something someone else carries you would be jobless before too long...just some food for thought.
