Over the past 3 years I've worked hard to get my setup just how i want it. I've got a 4,000rms amp and the full electrical to back it up. I've planned my next setup as 2 cascade designs 15"s on 4k. I've worked **** hard to piece everything together.

BUT...

having 500lbs of car audio stuff in the trunk of an explorer when gas is $4.32 for regular with trends showing only going up...its killing me.

I just got a 32" plasma and hooked it up to the home stereo and love it. i was just thinking about grabbing a couple 18"s and making a great substage to go with it..

how much does 1000watts affect the electricity bill?

o and vote on my future!

I feel ya, but in my case I put between 30-40k miles per year on so I have much more time in my truck, than I do in my car. so my vote is car audio, with the theater being close there after

theres more to car audio then just subs, same with home audio.
I have component set, deadening, speaker amp. I am aware of the parts of a system. I already have the home system sounding pretty **** good but it lacks in bass, hence my question.

yeah man i just got a 42" LCD and would love to have it setup with a nice home system, but you can drop A LOT into that VERY easily.

and the output of home stereos won't be on par with car audio...wattage ratings are normally a lot lower for amps and stuff from what i've seen generally.

i'd like to have a nice 5 or 7.1 surround with 1 18" sub of any kind. maybe when i get my own crib and don't live with anyone else //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yea when i got my DUI I started reasearching HT systems.

Those two towers meade made with the 4 btl's and 8 mids are rediculous.

But it can get expensive FAST, so i guess it would balance itself out in terms of high price HT components vs. the 500lbs and gas.

So if your already deep into CA and put some hours into you setup, I would say to stick with it

im very happy with the home highs and mids. couldnt ask anything more of them. same with the car. ive gotten both to where i want them. basically it comes down to which one I should add the bass to.

you can add bottom end to your HT for 4-600, is 4-600 enough to make tou throw away your time and effort in your CA quest?

i dont really think id be throwing away my time...id still be really involved in building boxes and systems..just not in my car. ill still be building subs..just not using them lol.
