Hey everybody, this so far out there I hope someone has heard of it.

I have a Sony CDX-CA700X XPlod AM/FM/CD head unit controlling a 10 disc changer..

It has been running great for over a year, then out of the blue, last week, whenever I make a right hand turn, be it a sharp fast turn or even a slow gradual right hand turn, the unit shuts down, and then comes back on. (And it really seems to be isolated to right hand turns)

It keeps the time and what not, but the display goes completely blank for a second or two, then comes back on, someitmes the music actually comes back on, but mostly the display comes back, and the unit is off. (As in just the time showing)

I tore the dash apart today, looking for a loose wire, and found none, the fuses are all good, ground is secure, and I could find nothing wrong.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

yeah, ditch the HU... thats all i can think of... i'm sorry i cant be of any help but i think that i speak for many people when i say ditch the HU...look into alpine and pioneer

Is their any wiring getting pinched by moving parts around your steering column? If not, there might be a loose component/piece inside the HU shifting and grounding itself out when you make a turn. Other than that, do as they say, and get a new HU.
