Car Audio Mergers....who owns who?

The Klipsch Group recently took over Audio Products International (API)

API = Energy, Sound Dynamics and Mirage

Energy is moving into the car audio world (finally)

doesnt DEI own stinger and viper also?
Stinger is owned by AAMP along with several other brands.

But yes, Directed owns Viper along with several others not listed.

That list wasn't all inclusive. As another example Maxxsonics also owns Autotek and MB Quart.

Actually just realized tru's post was incorrect there. Rockford sold MB Quart to Maxxsonics a year or so ago.

boston owns mcintosh now i believe...
I thought Clarion did?? Well they did until Clarion sold them in '03.

Actually Boston is under the same umbrella. D & M Holdings. McInstosh, Denon, Marantz, Boston Accoustics are all under the same umbrella. Pretty good company if you ask me.

I am assuming sense resonant engineering owns the 3, then the name RE and Resonant Engineering do not mean the same thing. I thought RE audio was Resonant Engineering Audio, I thought the RE was short as in- DD and Digital Designs

Do you not know how to read?

RE = resonant engineering, resonant engineering = RE, k? k.

US Amps is now the majority stock holder for RE, so basically what they say goes. This is kinda old news.

Try not to over complicate things that do not need to be over complicated.

i was told soundstream was bought by the owners of visonik.

zapco was bought by an italian company i just dont know the name.

mb quart is not rockford it is maxxsonics.

adire is out of business. whats the deal with the patented motor tech. that they held? were they selling the rights to use it to everyone else? re used to use the same structure.

re and us amps. i believe re used to be beyond audio, then they teamed up wth another company to make re

who owns earthquake?

soundstorm?

Image dynamics?

Apparently, you do not know how to read, as this was addressed about 15 posts ago.
