he is indeed a very good guy, with tons of knowledge and (at least in the forums) no sign of a temper, almost always neutral in threads like these. and he's been around ca.com as long as i have...

Being a mod is rather overrated, no ? All you gotta do is close dumb threads, split threads, and a few other things... What's with the whole status thing ?

We can split threads ... split individual stupid posts out and put them in the deleted threads section.

We can make a thread sticky and then unstick them.

We can "discuss issues in the moderator backroom" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

We can move threads to the deleted threads section ("deleting a thread").

We can't close/lock threads.

We can't edit posts/threads.

We can't do anything at all in the Lounge.

What about banning specific members from specific threads???

QUESTION..how does ADMINISTRATOR play into all this...is the admin just a silent observer or does he interact post..hang out in Mod room Etc??)

nah...but i believe u answered ur own question....i've got 1200 posts in three years...of course alot of that has to do with the fact that i left for about 8 months due to....GASP...drama...i would only check in every great once in awhile...

of course, by not having a high post count...i don't get nominated.

maybe that will change one day..who knows? of course..ppl like ramos, bigbassman,jlaine and zane...have alot more knowledge, been here just as long..yet they aren't mods either, though i think bbm was once...

anyway, it's a popularity contest, no offense to current mods, and i'm just not as popular.....but i'll take this....

Same here ...It says I registered Aug of 2003 but I actually registered in October 2002.

I always thought that was weird..I even still have a couple saved PM's from before Aug 2003???

It's impossible for a Moderator to do anything to your account.

Our Administrator posts in the Backroom once an issue pops up and he thinks it is worthy enough to address. He'll post on the boards if he see's something important enough, usually something concerning the forum in one way or another. He's a busy guy and does his best, just like the rest of us.

I'd just like to say that. It was me who bumped this thread to the lounge instead of deleting it. Why?
