what i'm saying..instead of crashing the noobs, and i GUARANTEE they don't think their question is stupid and who are we to say otherwise? maybe mis-informed, maybe un-informed, but not stupid....i remember asking some of the questions ur talking about now....but instead of crashing down on ppl...direct them or ignore them...again, remember this..some of the questions i answered 3 years ago..u haven't got to answer..maybe ur opinion is different and that is what drives these forums

The only thing I'm going to try to add to this thread:

IMO, the bolded items should sum up this thread and this entire spat, debate, fight, discussion, etc.

This is an online forum, "newbs" will forever be registering as time goes by. Of those same newbs, some will have been in forums before and know the ASSUMED etiquette. For others, this will be their first forum (and welcome to them) but have no idea what the "internet etiquette" is.

Not to mention that you dont have to be a newb to ask a "stupid" question. Anyone remember about a month ago when Lemans asked about how to run RCA's?? yes, everyone laughed & he got a lil fire under him, but he got answers too. Whats so bad about that?

Again, refer to the bolded comments... nothing wrong with not answering a question if you "dont deem it worthy".

I agree 100%..personally thats what I think is an issue...some members "LIVE" to trash the members and/or questions "they do not deem worthy"..thats thier main incentive or AGENDA for being on this forum..kind of like "Forum thugs"....... or as Mrray13 called them "KEYBOARD COMMANDOS"..and some of them have "back up" with mods..which makes it even worse!!

sorry but that wasnt my point. my point was that this is how any forum will always be. some, more so then others of course. but this is the way the forum is. either you partake or you dont. or you go to another forum.

i dont blame anyone (except those who intend to start BS threads) for over control or lack of control. Its an INTERNET forum, meaning the only person that has control is the actual ADMIN. Including but not limited to banning, overruling, or flat out closing the **** site. You have some control as an individual as well, you can not post. Or not come to the forum.

Through out this thread I mean "You" in the general meaning. Not you specifically Depression.

My point: if anyone is worried about flame wars, stay out of opinionated comments/threads. No one can flame you for saying 5+5=10.

Oh...NO...I did not specifically mean you meant what I wrote..I was specifically just noting the part about "regulating" on NEWBIES and thier "NEWBIE" Mistakes etc...I think some on here..all of us..need to Moderate what is right and wrong on the Forum and alert newbies to the ettiquette of this forum...I just meant that in the Sense of keeping the NEWBIES in line..Some got very defensive about "chilling on Newbies"..so I was trying to say that I AGREE that Newbies need to be guided..but in my opinion that philosophy is what drives some to GO OFF on newbies claiming it's in the NAME of Forum Justice...

It's almost like some watch the forum like bad COPS...Beating thier baton into thier palm..standing in the corner..just waiting for someone to mess up so they can bash in heads...
