Car Audio Drama!!!

I may get bashed for this..but that is kind of the point of this POST. And I am also just as guilty of some of the things I am about to address

I may not be considered a REGULAR to this forum..but in 6 months alot of us won't even still be posting on here...that is a reality..In Fact When I first started on here as an Avid Member over a year ago..I posted and made friends with people who are not even around anymore.

There is alot of needless DRAMA on this Forum..I was part of it last week. In that time I have thought alot about it and I think there is a clear answer. First of all I think it is fair to "CHILL" on the Newbies. You have all seen the posts..Guys are scared to post questions in fear of WRATH from the THUGS who think they run this forum..that is not cool..In fact Newbies should be the most welcome..thay have questions that need to be answered and have turned to this forum for advice..who knows..they may buy your amp one day or be your best friend?

You can tell in the Wording of a Newbie's Post..they are intimidated and Scared some idiot is gonna want and Bash thier question and run them off..That is not cool.

There is also alot of "GANG BANGING" on this site.."what does that mean?..it means that I have seen alot of Stupid shit and Stupid people go OFF on someone and have all thier homeboys jump in when they actually totally in the wrong..It happened to me and I saw it Happen to "hardrockFan" last night...I AM NOT SAYIN THESE PEOPLE ARE NECCESARILY RIGHT..I am just saying that on some posts it becomes "TOO COOL" to go off on a guy and jump him for something he said or really did not mean..this is a Forum and we ALL are guilty of posting stuff we would not say in public or will regret later. Forums like this breed that kinda stuff. I wish I had a DOLLAR for every guy I have seen abuse the so called "POSTING ETHICS" and try and lecture the next guy about being in the wrong for what they did etc. but that person did or does the SAME SHIT ALL THE TIME!!!!!.Don't be such a hypocrite and realize we all act stupid on here at one time or another..ALL OF US..

MOST IMPORTANT is that WE ALL SOMETIMES MIS-INTERPET WHAT SOMEONE HAS WRITTEN...It happens to Everyone..especially with Emails..We write a friend or someone, and they read it the wrong way..thinking we are starting shit or talking shit..We all need to understand that sometimes in writing things it is easy to mis-interpet what the other person meant..or is trying to say..AGAIN..If I had a dollar for every time I see "SORRY MAN I DIDN"T MEAN IT LIKE THAT." I could buy one hell of a sweet system...there is nothing that can stop these mis-reads exept understanding that it happens alot and we need to think harder if it was intended as an insult or not..WE ALL GET MAD and the phrase "the Pen is mightier than the sword" is Very true on a Forum where words actualy can be a big deal..but often are read in "our" mindstate rather than the person writing its "mindstate"

Anyways I do not want to write longer..but you get the point.

It's all good!!!! and lets all (including me especially) realize that this is a great Forum but it doesn't belong to any "ONE" person..It is here for Everyone.............ESPECIALLY NEWBIES!!!

very well done, and coulndt be further from the truth..we were all new to this one time or another so there is no need to jump on someones back about askin a question we have all heard a million time... for example::"should i buy a capacitor"???? then all the cool guys start bashing on him, or given attitude tellin him to search..nothin wrong with tellin him to search but he's new and it would be eiaser just to say:::"welcome to the forum, glad to have u hear..a capacitor in most cases is not worth the money..it is only a bandaid for a more seriuos problem...u would be better off savin ur money and buy a ho alternator.if u have any more questions feel free to ask".,......see thats a greeting an answer and thats all they need...no need to get anal ....02

p.s. please dont turn into a capacitor thread...lol

EXACTLY..And it goes both ways..I have seen some of the members with real installation skills ask "NEWBIE" type questions..And I have seen some newbies ask very technical questions that I could never answer..I mean I am NO EXPERT..But I know my way around component buying and Quality products..at the same time I AM AN IDIOT at actually Installing the Stuff..We all need some help and should not feel embarressed if on one hand we can wire a Multiple Amp system for SPL competition..but also think KRACO is a great H/U and want to know if we can use phone cord as speaker wire?? ....well that may be an Extreme example..but you get the point..We are all both "STUPID" and "SKILLED at the same time and rely on other members to carry us when we ain't gotta clue about something!!..

I am 32 years old and have built 3 custom cars from scratch and work as a Production Manager for movies/Videos....but SupaC and Effendi who are teenagers are gonna help me install my system because I don't know all the science of it..in exchange they asked me to tell them all about the Birds and the bees and what it means to "make Love to a Girl" so it all works out.....LOL!!!!!!

Well said D, and i agree with you 100% that this forum needs a "makeover" so to speak. all of us could do with a big dose of maturity and exercising wisdom in which battles we choose to get involved with....

for god's sake lets not ruin THIS thread......

P.S. Thanks for the shout out....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well, while i'm in agreement with you, one reason alot of the more avid members(including myself) get pissed off at noob's for asking questions is because they have been asked HUNDREDS of times already.

All they have to do is search and find the answer. That is why we get so pissed off. If people would learn to use the d*mn search button we wouldn't have these problems. Don't think of it as a low blow to noob's, but it just gets REALLY annoying answering shit that has been answered many many times before.

P.S. some of you guys REALLY have to stop being post wh0res. (its not any of you guys). Supa C, i'm looking in your direction......

I'm going to have to disagree here. If people have a legit question, fine. I've been a "newbie" at plenty of things. That does NOT give me the right to make > 5 threads to get a few FAQ's answered. That DOES NOT give me the right to act like a complete moron, and refuse to learn at all for myself.

I'll use your example of hardrockfan. His "newbieness" is not the problem. It's that he violated the etiqutte (sp) of the forum. He posted quite a few threads, and posed quite a few moronic questions. It's fine to be new, it's fine to not know much. But it's not okay to spam, and it's not okay to ask questions without first looking for answers yourself.

That is the reason for the gangbanging of hardrockfan, and many others.

I've had plenty of newbie questions. Most were answered with a few quick google/forum searches. If I had a very specific question I couldn't find the answer to, I'd make a thread. Only AFTER I looked into it myself. Also, I didn't make stupid threads like "oMG I WANT LOUD BASS SO PPL SEE MEEEE" and "OMG I HATE LOUD CARS WTF!!!111oneoneone". The person posting that may be new, but that doesn't mean that they are unaware of the stupidity of their questions.

Bashing newbies, I agree, is bad. Bashing idiots who have no "online manners", if you will, is fine. Two seperate ideas that seem to be getting mixed up here.

**** i wrote a hella big paragraph, longer than dipressed's, tellin ppl am sorry if i pissed off some1 , while i didnt mean it and bla bla bla, and i clicked on post, and it said SPECIFIC thread could not be found , KCUF TI DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN.

1. These are public forums.

2. They are free.

3. Your knowledge doesn't make you cooler or better than anyone else.

4. I'm older in comparison to most people here, yet there isn't a grown man that takes patronizing well from some tool on the internet that feels he owns the forum, so I dont engage in it and try to help out without trying to belittle anyone, as dumb as the question may seem.

5. If you dislike a particular post, do what I do- DONT REPLY TO IT!!!.........

Life is beautiful when you dont give meaning to irrelevant things:)
