So I don't do the poor person thing but I thought Black Friday was the day after Thanksgiving? Also why is it called Black Friday? I seriously don't know. Seems weird.

According to all these Brandsmart ads, it's before and after Thanksgiving lol.

I think it had something to do with the stock market in the great depression. Someone correct if I'm wrong

There are quite a few people still believe that Black Friday originated when slave owners sold the slaves who lost the entertainment competition on Thanksgiving the next day. Which would be a Friday. Hence, "Black Friday".

Yep lots of history behind the name going back to 1869. The slavery thing though is myth according to history.com. But tbh who really knows if that is not the case or not. A lot of records involving what trade were never really kept or lost throughout history.
