Gust like the title say . I have 2 amps one does 2000rms at 2 ohms earthquake phd2 the other is a hifonics brutus elite 2100.1d and it does 2100 at 1ohm. Is the eathquke easier on electrical because it does 2000rms at 2 ohms . Also wich one would you recommend out of the two

No. The ohm load the amplifier is designed to make full output power at has no bearing on how much amperage the amplifier draws from the electrical system of the car.

No it will still draw the same on the electrical if im not mistaken, the lower the ohm load the easier it is for the amp to provide the power.

Look at it this way a 4 ohm load is like a straw a 2 ohm load is like a garden hose and a 1 ohm load is like 6" pvc pipe, which is gonna be faster to get 50gallons through?

The Earthquake wasnt designed to run at 1 ohm nominal and would probably get really hot and die because the amp is putting out an amount of power it wasnt designed for.

So it really depends on the sub/s your using and how your gonna wire them, ive never used a earthquake amp so i cant comment on quality there but i have ran hifonics amps and ive liked the ones ive had there not bad.

Thats using the same amplifier yes. But you are not using the same amplifier here.

2000 W RMS is 2000 W RMS same draw from the electrical regardless of how it is delivered to the load. 1 ohm, 2 ohm, 4 ohm, whatever. Doesn't matter. Only difference is the voltage and current at the sub, but if power is the same, draw on electrical system is the same.

Ok we have that question answered thank you guys . Now second question is i will be very close two around 3150 rms total all amps . Car alternator is 120 battery which is coming is a xs d3400 and a big 3 kit . Is this sufecent or am i going to need ho alternator

Probably need an alt but do the big three and then see.

Screw it i will get a mehmen 270 alt and i hope it should be good any input hope its what i whant to here . I am thinking that the xs power d3400 big 3 and mechman 270 alt will be sufficient for 3150rms
