ok so everyone at one point wants to hook there car stereo up in there house to see how much it shakes their walls. well........ thats what i was wondering.. i want to hook up my ma audio hk-1398 in my house to hook my subs up to it.. how can i hook it up in a house????

I have 2 car battery's and a 40 amp battery charger powering my V800XD class d amp with a V159D6 15'' sub running at 3ohm's (750rms) in my living room for movies. I'm using a house stereo with a set of RCA line outs going to my car amplifier for a input signal.

Oh ya, and for the remote wire I have a little piece of 16ga wire going from the B+ to the remote terminal and when I want the amp off I simply just remove the wire from the remote terminal.

to answer your question cwatts2oo8 you take a 12v power cord that you would normaly use to power a cd player and hook the positive wire to your positive on your stereo and if yours is like mine i had to hook the yellow wire to the positive as well then hook your car stereo negitive wire to the negitive 12v power pack wire. then hook your speakers up and now you have your car stereo hooked up in your house. the only thing is im not sure how to hook up the amp with out over powering the wall surcuit. if some one can help me with that I will give you a cookie.

two high powered computer power supplies might work thats what im thinking of doing. but you have to crunch some number to make sure your not going to overdraw on it.
