Early to mid 90's Cherokees are realiable as hell and cheap too. Not sure if you're looking for an SUV or not, but if you are then look into them. Easy to get loud in also. I paid 2k for mine, already semi-built. (small lift, tires, etc)

Oh, and don't buy from a dealer, go private.

I am in he same situation. Just search and search for the right car. Have a mechanic check the car out. Most will for about 50 or less and it is well worth it. search craigslist.

i guess but if your looking at a lot of cars that would get kinda pricey. but no i mnot really looking for a suv because of gas prices at the time

You're 15?? You can't even drive it yet.. So Saving is a NO brainer...

Also, would your parents be willing to co-sign a loan for you?

Find 2-3 good solid looking cars you would be willing to get. go from there

Hmm not sure what to tell you then. I guess just save at least a couple thousand.

my honda civic that i have I gave $750 for.. it was my niece's car.. had like 164k on it.. haven't done a thing to it mechanical wise besides oil changes, and my aftermarket stuff.. its got 192k on it right now.. and wouldn't trade it for anything.. absolutely perfect shape and its nice

Alright i am having a tough time deciding on what i want to do so i masking for some advice. So i have like $1k right now. Would it be smarter to save up for a more expensive car or to just settle for a cheap car?

It's pretty difficult to find a car for 1G that you won't have to sink a ton of money into ...
