Car: 99 Camry XLE v6 - $500 budget for a sub - Fi BTL 15''? What else is good?

So, what are my options as far as subwoofer(s) go with a $500 budget?

Budget for amp will be $700.

I'll probably end up spending a total of 2.5 grand on my next upgrade.

My electrical is stock right now. I'll probably end up buying 2 batteries, a new 200w alternator (if i can find a good one to buy).

I'm considering getting an aftermarket alarm in the end too, so I'll probably end up spending about $3,000.

But anyways, back on topic, what are my choices for sub?

I was thinking about getting the Fi BTL 18'' Fully loaded but then I found out there will be no way to fit that in my trunk. I saw the price between the 15'' vs 18'' and it was only 30$ difference which made me think again if I'm going with the 15'' version of it. Also, I've heard there are Tensil problems with these Fi Subs, should I wait a couple of years before I upgrade my system or what?

Anyone on this board own the same Camry as mine and would like to give me the correct dimensions so I can give it to Team Toxic? I plan on having them build me a box for ~$250-$300. Anyways, I'll probably have to decide on what sub to get first though -.-

Edit: It's going to be for daily use, but I would also like to be able to kick *** in a competition if I ever decide to enter or something -_- (Never been in a bass competition before).

I have a RE MT with a bnib recone kit for a dual 2 ohm 15" with a SAZ-3000 that would be a killer system

I have a question. What size box are your dual 12'' Type-R's in right now?

I currently have a 250$ box prefab 3cF box that I bought from elemental designs 2 years ago, would those dual type-r's sound good in my current box?

I was thinking about upgrading to them, but then I told myself, "why not put in a extra hundred bucks or thousand to get an even bigger system and just be done with it". That lead me wanting to go with the Fi 15'' BTL fully loaded, but then again, I hope I don't want more bass after getting that too! Well, I guess I am limited to the amount of bass because of the size of my trunk in the camry heh.

How many watts you feeding your Type-R's total? 1800 watts?

I prefer them ported but that should be okay for a sealed setup on the Rs
The dual 12'' 3cF box I have now is actually ported.

Hmm.

I think my dual 12'' eD 13kv's is equivalent to 1 Type R 12''.

So I guess, I rather not upgrade to type R's because it would be too much trouble and I would only gain a 'little' more bass than what I already have.

By the way, I'm looking to buy a sub that's not been used. I don't want to risk being scammed and such. So yeah.

buy mine 350
Meh. Another reason why I don't buy used is because I like to write prices down ahead of time and see how much I'll be spending. Once I've planned it all out, I buy them all at once.

The other reason is, it's safer to buy directly from the company but it would be nice to only buy from the company during special sales //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
