given the following circumstances...

-up to or less than 5.5 cu ft of total box volume

-up to 2000 watts

-put in the trunk of a 95 dodge avenger

-cost less than or around $350 brand new

please offer any suggestions

sure there is no definite answer but I am looking to upgrade soon and need a general idea of what to look for

BAHAHAHA!!!!! Classic.

"put it in the back of a 95 dodge avenger" is not a condition.

" fits in the back" is somewhat better...but the BOX has to fit, not the sub.

Sorry to flame you.

EDIT: Fine, fine...i'll answer. I recommend an used RE XXX.

being loud is in the box not the sub. Can have the best subs and amp in the world if you cant build boxes or build them badly you will only get so loud and wont be even close to the potential of the subs or amps

consider that the sub would be put in an ideal box of up to 5.5 cu ft

being loud is a combination of several factors....not just the box

whatever, just trying to get the point across that it will be in a trunk not a hatchback or suv
