Capacitors .... Do they work ?? Time to stir something up REAL bad :-)

No matter how labor-intensive it may or may not have been appearance is purely a subjective thing. You can have spent a bazillion hours creating that and someone might still find it unattractive.

Personally I'm of the opinion that the low-grade looking carpeting you've apparently used for a faux bezel looks like crapola. It looks like you cheaped out on the materials and the resultant install's appearance suffered for your miserly tendencies.

It's an opinion.

If you don't like it bear in mind that I wasn't the customer so it doesn't matter much ultimately.
He actually didn't want ANYTHING around the bezel on the faceplate , believe it or not. he would have been happy with un-painted , raw MDF. I just couldn't stand to leave it at that , and the carpet was the thing at hand. I would have personally chosen interior matching vinyl myself , but it wasn't my car.

Yeah , literally ANYTHING was possible as far as I was concerned , but the customer made it VERY clear that he simply did NOT care about looks , only great sound quality. He only wanted the factory radio faceplate to be seen when the car is parked , and didn't care about how the head unit looked , only that it was mounted behind the fake one. The amps , cap , wiring , sub , ect. can NOT be seen when the trunk is opened , just a fake trunk back that hides the equipment. the trunk is still useable , and the spare tire can be taken out without removing anything.

Anyone looking the car over in a parking lot would never be able to know there is even a system in the car. It's what he specified , so it's what he received.
All he wanted was just anal ***, not the install folks, can't you understand that.

Wow ! This was a perfect weekend !!

Georges St. Pierre whipped matt Hughe's azz ...... The Cowboys won ..... and I managed to get all the little kiddies who have NO lifes to come out in spades , and show they missed taking their Midol !!! A sweeeet weekend indeed !

whats with teh HU? and dose that a factory HU face cover it?
The customer didn't want that $1400 head unit showing for the whole world to see , so I recessed it behind the factory faceplate , and made the factory facelpate into a fake " cover " to hide the expensive head unit. The fake cover faceplate can be popped on and off to hide what's behind it.

From http://www.betteraudio.com/geolemon/newmain/battcapalt/"#5 is the alternator upgrade.

Bear in mind, it's not a "happy happy" upgrade.

There are compromises and tradeoffs... it's expensive, you'll lose useable horsepower, and even gas mileage.

You might find that the current capability at idle RPM isn't much higher than your stock alternator was... it might make it's higher current number... but at a higher RPM, like 3000.

That's something you should know, while shopping for them, if you ever do get there, someday. You should look for the plot of current capacity vs RPM, because current capability is a function of RPM."

Worste gas mileage? And HP? wow...

idk how to hook up a cap so can you fly to michigan and hook it up for me?
Buy the round trip ticket and the necessary parts , then pay my specified labor and i will gladly do this for you , but it would be single dumbest thing you could ever do //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif  //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif ANYONE can hook up a cap , but I'm sure you know that already.

You could always hire one of the azz clowns from this thread to do it .... But that's right .... They DON'T actually get to do this kind of thing. They only waste time trying to make me feel bad , all while I sit here and laugh at their idiocy.

In the end I'm still happy , wealthy , successful , and doing what THEY wish they were doing : Being VERY sucessful in the car audio business //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

A lot of this will depend on the type of car , type of alternator , who you actually buy the H/O alternator from , and how you specify you want it to work for your particular car ( target RPM range and that sort of thing ).

Gus at Ohio Generators can give you first hand info if you give him a call with all the pertinent info.

i would never want a career in the car audio world, with that said, if you were as wealthy as you say you are, you wouldn't be driving a beat up viper and a neon. As well you would have better things to do than fly to places to do horrible installs on shitty cars for chump change. I would also like to think that you would have a pretty wife.
