Can't decide what I should buy, help a noob out?

I'll probably get a single HDC. I was actually thinking about a closed, portless box. What dimensions and area should I go for with a closed box?

What's the disadvantage of having a closed box? Sorry for asking too many questions, but like I said, I'm almost a complete noob at this.

Kicker L7 or any in there line up, Get good and loud but sound like crap... Meaning there is no musical tone, At all... Iv got a Kicker solox 10 for sale right now because of that very reason

U just about cant tear it up, But there is way better sub's out there for the money...

Imo I like Dc sound lab sub Good deep sounding bass that sound great. I had 4 lvl-3 15's

and I sold them because they were just taking up too much room in my truck, Now im saving up for two DC lvl-4 12 or mabe the lvl-4xl not sure yet...

O yeah and try to buy a real good amp, because that the corner stone of ur system, I dont care how gay that sounds it true...

I'm also gonna try and find some DC lvl4s to hear, but currently I'm thinking HDC3. I think DC Lvl4s are more expensive than HDC3s anyways. Also, I think I have a good enough amp (Audio System F2 500).

with your amp i think it is not 1 ohm stable

if it is only stable down to 2 ohms, get a dual 1 ohm sub

The HDC3's are pure ***. I saw some AQ 10's today and I felt like punching my Type R 12's in the nuts.

After so many suggestions, I'm definitely getting an HDC3. That is, when I figure out what the stable ohm value is for my amp.

Your amplifier is 1250w rms at 2ohms, bridged.

This means that you want either a Dual 4 or Dual 1ohm subwoofer.

The HDC3 with the copper coils would probably be your best bet. I wish you the best of luck.

Also - - - ported vs sealed. Ported boxes are louder, period. You're going to have an increase in SPL over a certain frequency range - moreso than others. For example, where the HDC3 might play at a +2db gain at 40hz, it might be at -2db loss at 25hz. Pro's and cons of the ported enclosure, but you DO NOT and I repeat, DO NOT, want to run that AudioQue woofer sealed. You will not be happy.

Haha, haven't seen that one yet. I'm afraid to see it because it's probably gonna be one of those horrible sequences made just for profit. Donnie Darko was awesome and S. Darko probably ruined the legend.
