Most mobile speakers optimized for door installation are designed for IB, while most home speakers aren't...they're looking for sealed or ported alignments. You could always glass door pods or kicks or them, but that's work you may or may not want to do.
Other than that, there's no real problem with it...
If they're the type of mid you want, you can use them. But mind you, just because it may be good in a home environment, that doesn't make it the best choice in a car.
Yea...you gotta get the right T/S parameters (mainly a high Qts). I have some 6 ohm 6.5"s I'm gonna throw in temporarily...they look and sound good, so eh, what the hell?
It's very common nowadays to use home audio drivers in cars.
