ok i told my friend that if i was buy a 2nd pair of kickerl7s that would put out more spl then what i got now i have now 2 12ls and 2 kicker1200.1s strapped, so i thought if i bought a 2nd pair and had each amp power a pair of them that it would be louder then what is now, he said no because they wouldnt be getting the power there getting now {2 1200.1 on 2ls} so i said bull crap beacuse 2 more woofers means that 2 times the amount of air im moving? or does power really matter in this case?

go with 4 hes not tottaly right but it will be gettin what ever power the spaekers ohms r running at if u got 2 12 inch kickers that r 8 ohm runnin2 would put one amp at 4 ohm and on the 1200.1 u can bridge it at 4 ohms and it will pound 1200. watts dont do it if you have the 2 ohm subs just keep it the way u have it

I have no idea what mrokbass was trying to say, but what do the kickers put out when strapped?

im trying to say the 1200.1 is a stereo amp and put out more watts when bridged @ 4 ohms they cant handle 1 ohm loads so the only way he could do that would be with 2 12 inch kicker solos that are dual 8ohm vc's understand now?

The kicker is 1 ohm stable....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
EDIT: And it's a monoblock amp...how can you bridge 1 channel:confused:

ummm... i think hes trying to say 4 woofers would be louder than 2 woofers with the same amount of power... yea??//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

I think with the same power...4 would be louder...maybe a little...because of the 2x cone area...

well isnt the rule..im not shure but... twice the power same cone area = half the power twice the cone area.. i think thats it but who knows. maybe it will be louder because it is more subs .. why dont you pick up a cheaper amp to power the two new kickers..but would that cause cancillation. ? hmm but i think thats the rule up there. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
