can too much bass damage a GPS?

My mom got me a garmin gps for christmas. I was driving around town using it while listening to rap and I noticed that it was vibrating alot on the bass notes.

Its hard to notice visually. But when you can really feel it when you put your hand on it.

I dont want to break the thing. Think I should be worried?

are you using that infinity sub in ur vehicle? cuz i doubt that it could produce enough bass to damage that. possibly in a huge spl vehicle...but not a one sub infinity setup.

ive bumped my rl-p's and my gps never got damaged..... i also dont leave mine mounted to the car or ever or mount it to the car/windsheild. that little ring it leaves looks like shit and tells people you have a gps.

Yea, Im using the kappa in my sig. It can get decently loud for a single sealed 10. With the right song, I can make my rear view mirror pretty much unusable from it vibrating like crazy.

I also have it mounted on the windshield. Most all of the vibrations its recieving seem to be transferred from the windshield through through the cradle to the gps.

YES, Its in the owners manual. Anything over 180db and they will screw up on ya.... Why u think dante dosent have one.... Jeeez everyone knows that...

Well it is like for my motorcycle I have used normal gps and have been threw 2 of them so i finally broke down and bought a zumo 550 "800 bucks" But in a car you are fatiguing the circuit board but I dont think you will have to worry about it.

My rear view mirror rattled off and my radar detector has been fine, but its an escort 8500 x50 so its built way better then normal cobra's you see. Im sure your GPS will be fine.
