What year Camry and engine? Some have 90 amp alts and some 80 or even 70.
I am running 500W RMS on a "Corolla" with 80 amp alt, 4 gauge big three added to stock wiring, and bigger 34R series AGM battery; I have no headlight dimming at all.
Before the big three and new battery, I had only stock wiring and 4 year old 35 series (stock size) battery and had dimming at "max listening volume" and heavy bass hits. You should have the same with 750w with the stock 24F series battery and heavier gauge stock Camry wiring.
with running over 1k(a/b less efficient) in my car, 90 amp alot, 55 ah bat up front, spv69 in back, big three and all o gauge, most i drop to at full tilt is 14.0-14.2
As long as the battery isn't in too bad of shape you should be fine with just the big 3 upgraded. But I've had dimming with a 105amp alt and the big 3 running around 800 watts (crap battery)..so sometimes you just have to try and see what happens. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I looked up the output of the Camry's alternator and it said it was 80 amps. The amplifier says it pulls about 60 amps. How often do you think the amp is actually pulling that much? If I turn down the gains the amplifier won't quite produce 750 watts, correct?
That is true, and music is dynamic enough that you won't ever pull 60A anyways. I'm pulling right around 150A on my current setup with a 90A alt and I don't really have any voltage drop
