I know.. silly question but i was thinking about it today.

My brother's shop got some 8 guage JL audio speaker cable in today and i was thinking it was a bit large.

Can this ever be the case? My first amp kit didnt even have a power wire that thick.

no, it cant be too big, impracticle yes. 8 gauge on a set of comps is a waste of money, and time trying to stuff them into the terms.

on a sub unless its HARDCORE SPL 12 is the biggest you should use.

funny you should say that. I do believe my DD's are hardwired with 8ga. I've got 8 ga ONLY for subs. Speaker wire follows the same rules as power wire for size.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
