Can someone tell me why his is louder?

dont sell them, just ****in port the w7's. your not even comparing 2 12's to 4 12's your comparing 2 10's instead. first off get a nice ported box, more power, and bigger wire. youll be close to his output if you port yours and he leaves his sealed.

edit: scatch that. didnt know the 10" versions were only rated for 500 watts...someone with more experience could probably power them with 1k a piece but if your asking this type of question, i wouldnt suggest it...no offense. but put them in a nice ported box at 32hz or so and at least youll get close to the output of his subs. might beat em, keep up, or still be not quite there. it depends on your install but im willing to bet with a good install you should be close to being equal

Ehh i say get ride of what you have and go for somthing more comp/daily. I would say either ( DD, TC, ID, MTX, XXX,fi ) I found a Mtx 9500 15" for $400 with box, and those deals are always out there, i was originally going to get a XXX but the 9500 just came up and i couldn't say no to that kinda deal.

install/equipment>surface area. one of my friends has 5 lightning audio 12's from walmart and my system owns his with 1 12" type r. walmart ftl!

You could do better still with subs meant to get loud since it seems that is what you care about. The W7s aren't best in an SPL application.

when i had one 10" vented at 35hz i hit a 133 and i was pretty happy with that, maybe I'll try to do another vented for the tw otens, If I'm not happy with that, I'll be gettin in touch with you about your XXX johnnybusa
