Reading so much on these forums can be very confusing, man i cannot get my equipment plans fixed so all ur guys help will be appreciated. Could you guys tell me how this is going to sound for my needs:

I am going for an SQ/ Loud setup and I listen to bands like Tool, Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, 311, Beck, Coldplay, Gorillaz, Kanye West, 50 Cent, Some Other Hip Hop -- when I have hip hop on, i want everyone at the traffic light to know it is me and when I have rock music on, I want the double bass to pound me hard.

Plans:

12" IDMAX V3 Dual 4 running at 2 ohms off a Nine.1 (900 RMS); Ported Box, havent figured out dimensions yet

Rainbow SLC 265 running off Nine.4 (150 RMS X 2)

Pioneer P880PRS Headunit with iPod control

Deaden the doors and trunk

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

sounds like you have some good equip. Just make sure you tune your box around 34hz, that should be good for the rock and pound with the rap,i recommend about 2.0 cu ft. volume after sub displacement and tuned @34hz just my opinion.maybe ppl can give you a little more advice if you tell us what your putting this in?

Don't play your music loud at traffic lights.

As you approach a light that you will be stopped at, attentuate it. It won't kill you.

Someone in the listening area of your music might be bringing home a newborn baby. Or they are coming home from a long trip and the kids FINALLY fell asleep. And there you are with your BOOM BOOM BOOM disturbing all the peace.

One day, that might be you with the new born baby getting pissed at the kids blarring their music.

And no I am not some old geezer complaining on a forum. I have never had my music loud at lights because I always thought of that senerio. Respect will get you along way. And less tickets.

on top of that, it might simply be someone who knows where you live and will take your shit. it can happen, only time no one awake here is like 2-3hrs tops and someone had time to get mine.

Rl-P is the Sound Splinter right? Read a lot of good things on this forum about them. I was trying to find out how to buy those but couldn't find them anywhere online. Does anyone know where I can buy them?
