What does Dual 2 ohm standard (quad 2 and dual 1) mean? I know 2 ohm is the resistance, but what is all the other stuff. Also, anyone know when the new XXX's came out

Dual = 2 voice coils

If you do not specify otherwise then any XXX you order will be built with Dual 2 Ohm voice coils.

(quad 2 and dual 1)

So if i want to power a RE XXX 15" of a Nine.1. I think like 1200W @ 1Ohm. Id have to specify the dual 1?

and what is the difference between quad coils and dual voice coils? thanks

Just order the Dual 2-ohm version, and you can run it off your Nine.1

but the Nine.1 only puts out 900W @ 2 ohms. Am i mistaken -- or dual 2 ohm version still somehow take 1200W @ 1 ohms.

The dual 2-ohm wires down to a 1 ohm load. You'll be fine.

yes, dual 2 ohm vc subs can only be wired to accept power at 1 or 4 ohms.

u can wire a single dual 2 ohm sub down to 1 ohm, dual 2 ohm FTW
