Hello and thanks in advance. I know a cubic foot is 12" square. But I am not real sure how to figure oddball numbers. Here is the dimensions of what I would like figured, these are outside numbers and 3/4" MDF material thickness with a divider in the center.
57" long X 15" high, 8" deep at the top and 9" deep at the bottom. I just need to know CF without any subs.
Thank you, Russ
Ok I did look around and found the numbers needed to figure. Please advise if my calcs are correct. 1.66cf per side.
On the paperwork I got with my w3002d4 Pioneer Champion Series Pro subs it says displacement is .181cf, does that sound right?
Also from reading some post it seems as though most prefer more cf than recommended from manufacturer. I may not nderstand this fully, but this is what it reads, The recommended enclosure volumes include speaker displacement. Recommended for sealed is .8 cu ft, max is 1. cu ft and minimum is .5 cu ft. Ported is Rec. 1.2 cu ft with 3"x3.5" port, max 1.6 cu ft with 3"x2.5" port and min. .8 cu ft with 3"x7" port. Wont mention bandpass as i wont go that route.
Could someone shed some light on this
