Can someone recommend a Sub to go with my Alpine MRD-M301 Amp??

I have an Alpine MRD-M301 amp currently hooked up to 2 JL 10"w0 subs. One of the JL's are now blown, but im not sure why because i usually dont turn it up too loud; i suppose the sub/amp just weren't a good match for each other. (correct me if im wrong) I'm looking to get a single 12" or simply replace the 2 10" subs. anyone have suggestions? im looking to spend under $150. would a 12" alpine type r or a 12" JL w3v2 function properly with my amp? i dont want to blow another sub... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
