Can someone recommend a book?

I have learned a lot from reading this forum, but I was hoping there is a good book or two that someone could recommend. I would consider myself to have beginner-intermediate knowledge.

I paged through the "car stereo cookbook" and was thinking about picking it up. Any thoughts?

I got this AWESOME book called "The American Dream." Instead of you paying me for the book, I will pay you $10 so you can read it. Then, you can tell me all about it! Doesn't that sound like a great deal?

Sorry, I am at work and bored out of my mind. I have to read that book for english next year. Its written by Dan Rather so you can just guess how exciting it is.

I've got the 6th edition of the "Loudspeaker Design Cookbook." Strongly suggest picking it up, good read if you can follow the stuff he talks about sometimes. All in all, buy it dammit!

I strongly second the "loudspeaker design cookbook" by Vance Dickason.

It's great material, if you are interested in loudspeakers and enclosure design, and crossover design.

'good books' though, are dependent on what you are looking to get out of them...

Your car stereo book there should offer some good tips on how to design and even install a car audio system, I am guessing...

Experienced installers would already know nearly everything in that book, so they'd be looking to something more advanced, or maybe just more specific to a particular topic.

Is there any topic in specific that you might be interested in?

Or are you just looking to learn the ropes - ie. how do I get my HU out, how do I get my doorpanels off, how do I select a component set, etc?

KaeZoo, would that Andrew Yoder be related to Mark Yoder who has written a book or two on Digital Signal Processing?

You'd have to ask him. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm not too familiar with the author; I just own the book. Other books written by Andrew Yoder are about shortwave radio and pirate radio stations.

oh, alright, Mark Yoder is a professor at a engineering school in Indiana, just wondering is there was some connection
