can someone please settle this arguement

my friend is trying to tell me that his 4 8L7's off 1000rms in his ported box(not sure of tuning) will hit lower with more authority than my 15 mag d2 in my 3.7cf at 27hz box off 1000 rms. I don't have the time to prove to him who's right or wrong, so i'm just wondering who you guys think set up will hit lower.

really no way to tell, without knowing more details (like his tuning), and still then the only way to know for sure is to listen to it in real life. The vehicle that they are installed in also plays a very influential role in how a subwoofer sounds.

There is a thread titles SI people in the sub section. Send that to him. I don't know what his mag is hitting but with 3 inches of peak to peak excursion on the new mags I would say that your sub can probably hit much lower than his. I don't know much about the L7's though.

even if his L7s do hit as low, (witch i doubt reguardless of box tuning) remind him that if they do hit as low, they hit low while sounding like ***..... but yours.... the o precious and fantastic Mag 15 sounds greats as it hits even lower.. (not comparable in sq on any note) make sure he knows that he is PWNED
