I want to port 2 RE SE's in the back of my neon srt-4. Here are the max measurements the box can me

14.5" height, 32" width, 24" depth

I would like it ported as low as possible. (27 or 28hz would be good)

Thanks. i really dont know how to figure this stuff out any help would be greatly appreciated.

sorry, I wasn't very clear with my statement, my flash player aint working and you cant get past the opening page on their website without a flash player, I just need a link to the T/S parameters for the SE so I can bypass the flash stuff

Ok here is the box, make sure you run it by one of the pros around here before you build it as I haven't designed very many boxes yet. It's a very small box for those T/S parameters but its as big as could fit in the dimensions you gave. Have you bought the subs yet? If you haven't I would prolly just go with one and have a massive box with a nice low end on it. If anyone who has been designing boxes for a while can let me know how I did and give me pointers that would be nice too.

Thanks for the design. Yes I already bought the subs. I want a lot of SPL so i needed 2 of those. They should be pretty loud ported.

I really appreciate you taking your time to help design a layout for the box, I'll definetly put it to good use //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thank you.

From my experiance you would want to keep both the subs exactly the same distance from the port , this is so there is no cancellation in sound. I would try porting the box right in the middle instead of one side!!!

well, I designed the box with winISD and then made the picture in paint. Also, yer prolly right about the port in the center thing, Hypnoz you can prolly alter the plans and do that, I think It will look a lot nicer too. Only thing is that that will cost you even more volume because you will have to add another 3/4 inch peice, that will also change the tuning frequency a little bit.

For the 10's you want, 32"Lx24"Dx14.5"H external, internal will be 30.5"Lx21.75"Dx13"H, the port should be exactly in the middle of the two subs and should be 13"Hx2"Wx21"L this will tune the box to 26hz with a -3db point of 23 hz you would be peaking around 28 to 30 hz. Iwould only send them about 1000 watts total or else you could hear chuffing of the port due to air velocity!! The port should be shared as a common port for both subs. Any other questions just ask, this is almost exactly the same box I just built for 2 12" jlw6!

The 12's are the same except the port should only be 20", and you sould be able to feed them 1200 watts with out any port noise!! your -3 db is at 26 and you would peak 40+hz!!

I dont think he needs it tuned that low. How often does music get down to 26 hz? and why make it 13X2? why not 13X1.5, it still fits the 1 to 9 rule and as long as it is sanded it shouldn't be a problem with the chuffing. I've been looking at other peoples boxes and I'm seeing a lot of people who don't have the port equidistant from both subs. So I don't think its a big enough issue to warrant moving the port to the middle and taking up more volume. This box is already kinda small, so making the port bigger and longer and moving it to the center will only hurt the size problem.
