And that's the truth.
Just picked it up at a pawn shop for 15 bucks. Catalog # 12-1976

All I could find out is that it's 4x25rms, but could someone give me any more detailed info? such as ohm rating & etc? Here's a pic I found online

I think that might have been Radio Shacks brand or something back in the day. I had an older "100x2" that seemed fairly strong. Im sure it does rated, but as to your exact model, im not familiar

Yeah it says on the sticker on the bottom that it's radioshack's brand. I'm just looking for some more info on it. The manual doesn't really give much info. I know that they're fine for my front stage & my stock rears but yeah just looking for more info

get us some pics of the internals. My very first amp was a radioshack 25 x 2 . My buddy has a radioshack amp thats rated for like 170 watts peak I think but it has some balls for what it is.

I'll get an internal shot tomorrow, but it has a 10A fuse, so I know it's not putting out more than 120w. And yeah the manual says 10%THD. We'll see how it sounds after I find some spade connectors

I picked this up because even if it didn't work, it was only $15 down the drain. But the question I suppose I should ask is, would I be better off using this to power my speakers or leave my HU powering them?

I think you would be slightly better using the amp but not so much that it would be worth the trouble of installing it. If the amp isn't functional let me know and I may take it off your hands. I like old shit like this for some reason

acually, optimus was its own brand speced out by radio shack. alot of them were built in the same house as Sanyo amps. But they were never rebranded amps from any other company.

Some stores would have mps made for them, like the Mmats made, The hot set up. But radio shack produced thier own line to sell at RS.
