Can someone answer this?

gonna use this amp:WoofersEtc.com - 16-MAD1000 - Memphis 1100 x 1 Class D Marine Subwoofer Amplifier

So just to clarify this is the sub I want correct:

SSA Store - Sundown Audio SA-8 Subwoofer

What do ya think Bob this a good set-up? The box will be made perfectly I have a really nice place in town to bring it to, I will also have the place call the owner of Sundown to make sure everything is done right.
That is a very nice amp & will work well on a pair of SA-8's. Yes, those are the subs you want & be sure to get the dual 4ohm version.

.75cu ft @ 32hz per sub for the box is what I would personally do. Make sure the subs have their own chamber tuned to that.

If I were you I'd contact RAMdesigns on here. He is great at designing build sheets for sub boxes.

Here is how they need to be wired to give you a 1ohm final load & maximize your amplifiers power:

Option 1 (parallel/parallel) = 1 ohm load

Voice coils wired in parallel, speakers wired in parallel

Recommended Amplifier: Stable at 1 ohm mono

when have YOU ever used an Sa8??
I installed a pair of SA-8 d2 subs, wired in series/parallel for a 2ohm load, in my dad's Silverado about 3 months ago....

.77cu ft @ 33hz per sub.... Ran off an Alpine PDX-1.1000

pics? video? I wanna see what they can do...
considering running 4 of them in my demo truck on 1700 rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I have a few pics on my laptop at home, no vids though. They have plenty of power, but the gain is set low, dad doesn't care for a lot of bass. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

If you're thinking of using them for a demo vehicle go with 800w each. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

BOB thank you for all the help, I contacted BB from this board to ask about a box, not sure if I wanna get a custom one from a installer in town or have him make me them.I am leaning toward custom so I can go fiberglass.

meh...
Bob is just reposting what anyone else says dude...

talk to Sundown via email he will tell you how to make em work out or if a dif sub will work better for you.

Bob has never even seen an Sa8 in person.

he is a google-whore ...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif...

Yeah, because I didn't go to Sundown & pick up SA-12's for my Jeep from Jacob. And I didn't talk with him about different enclosures for my dad's SA-8's or anything. Get off my sack.

So what is your opinion on what I should do? I looked into that sub and it seems everyone who owns it loves it? What are your thoughts

8" subs are a niche' thing the Sa8's are badazz ... for an 8"... but more cone area wins if everything else stays the same in most cases...

if its going in the 350z in your avitar i'd do a DD 3510 dual 2...in the proper ported box about 2cu ft counting port it would get crazy...and hit the lows like no JL ever could..I've beat the JL 13 in street beat with DD3510 in my Saleen ...mine sounded better hit lower and was nearly 3dbs louder the guy was running about the same power as me....

^^^ will destroy 2x Sa8's...
