can my electrical handle this?

I am getting ready to change the system in my 1997 Honda Accord

Right now I have a MB Quart 100 x 4

2 channels running a front set of MB Quart componets and the other 2 bridged to a JL 10w3

I am getting a box built by Pro_rabbit for 2 Jl 10w3's

I would like to run each off a JL 500.1 and the keep everything matching I was going to use a JL 300.1 to run the fronts.

I have heard that JL amps are hogs on electrical

I do have the big 3 done already

I have a 2 gauge power wire

I do not want to run a second battery at all

So the amps are rated RMS at 1,300 watts how many amps do you think I will be pulling and does anyone know how many amps the ALT puts out?

thank you in advance for your help.

technically you could be potentially drawing 190 amps with those amps. I doubt you will end up using more than 120 of that so I think if you have a 120amp alt or bigger you should be find with the big three. If your alt is rated lower than that you might have some issues, but I think you would be just fine with that, maybe get an upgraded battery under the hood.

check you're local parts stores. sometimes for your vehicle they sell a higher output alternator like 150 amps or so and they're usually reasonable like $150-$200 they are usually cheaper then getting a like 200+ amp alt from one of the custom build houses, and can be a good solution for someone like you who isn't running massive power but might be running more than your alternator can easily handle.

whoops, typoit is a 300/4

that will be running my front speakers bridged to 2 channels

I was doing some research and i think I have a 90 amp alt in the car

I found someone on ebay selling what they say is a 140 amp alt for $120 but I am skeptical as that price seems kinda low

Anyone know anything about this seller?

vtec - 90 amp alt

non vtec - 80 amp alt

also, do you have the v6 engine? if not, thats not the right alternator for your car

no I have the 2.2 motor

so 80 amps

so even at 1/2 volume I would still be pulling to many amps for the elecrtical.

I guess if I want to run those amps I need an upgrade

I push over 1300wRms on a 60amp alt, and OEM battery, w/ Big 3, and don't have a single problem. Only minor dimming at max volume. Voltage doesn't drop below 12.8... I'm just looking to get a new battery and I should be solid.
Yeah you can get by with ur current setup with a big 3. I'd just upgrade your batt and see how it goes if it was me and I was trying to save money. If I had money and wanted the best solution (and maybe a little louder) I'd upgrade the alternator and do big 3 and get a good Batt. ( I have that setup on my car and I have a 3600wrms amp and also a 800wrms amp. and I do great no drops in voltage plenty of power.)
