K im planning to get a re 12.1 amp...i found a guy who distributes them..and i was gonna run them with one re se12" for now...i just dont know if my car can handle it...im a noob so i dont know if theres enough power to run it...

i have a 99 corolla...i got a new battery last winter..that its..i still have a stock alternator...and i still need to know how many amps i need for the fuse..and im using 4 gauge wires..is this okay?

Sigh.......look, caps are a waste, plain and simple.

The only way to know if your car will be okay is to try it. Just do the big three, and see how it goes.

why would u buy it from a shop, unless ur gettin dealer cost //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

other than some dimming u should be fine, nothing is gonna break or anything

Caps arent a waste. It would be better to just get an alternator, but caps can do a decent job if you know what your doing, and they help to recharge your electrical system faster, for those bass notes that really drain your battery.

This isn't an "answer over the 'net" kind of thing.

There really is absolutely no way for us to know whether or not your electrical system will handle it. Way too many variables. About the only thing you can do is either 1) Plan for the worst and buy a new everything, or 2) hook it up and see how your electrical system handles it, and if it doesn't handle it well come back and tell us exactly how bad the problem is, and we can work on trouble shooting it from there.

Hey I'm assuming u are gonna get that amp from chris cecco so why don't you talk to him about helping you out a bit with the electrical side of things. He's a great guy alwasy willing to help everyone out.

I think the electrical will be fine with a decent battery and a GOOD ground on the amp and battery //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Good luck, RE stuff has alwasy been good to me. I'm sure that amp will be good just like the other stuff I've used.

I dont think you will be fine,

unless your stock alt is at least 120amps.

You will have major dimming and the amp may not play at full capacity.

It all depends on what ur stock alt rating is.

Caps are not a waste :p

But if you have the money buy the alt:p:

Like said, the only way to know is to try it. I ran a Brutus 1500 in a 92 grand am, with NO electrical upgrades, and it was fine. Just try it, and see. No one "knows" what you will need to do.

haha nice

it also depends on what music u listen to, rap tends to draw more current from your alty because of the prolonged bass notes..

rock, i can nearly guarentee you will not have to do any electrical upgrades, next to big 3
